Mini hydro-power plant Pavlica - River Ibar near Raška
On the mountain course of the river Ibar, in the municipality of Raška, the project of the small hydro-power plant Pavlica was successfully implemented, which represents a significant step in the development of renewable energy sources in Serbia.
This plant is equipped with an installed power of about 3.5 MW, which has multiplied the energy contribution in the local community. The chosen location is near the historic Stara Pavlica monastery, which further emphasizes the combination of tradition and modern technological development.

Mini hydroelectric power plant - Pavlica
The plant is designed to mitigate the impact on the water flow: a structure about 5 meters high is used with a controlled overflow - the water does not go into kilometers of pipes, but the flow of the river is used in an integrated manner.
Pavlica is not just infrastructure - it provides an example of how sustainable energy can be built with respect for nature and the local community. Methods that respect the hydromorphology of the river and enable minimal impact on biodiversity were used in the execution.
This project confirms that even on demanding terrains, in mountainous areas, investments in renewable sources can be technically and socially successful — with the aim of developing the energy of the future and not damaging nature.
