Mini hydro-power plant Under the City - Užice
Konstruktiva participated in the revitalization and modernization of the Pod Gradom mini-hydroelectric plant, located on the Djetinja River in Užice. This hydroelectric power plant is one of the pioneering facilities in Europe that implemented a multiphase alternating current system, inspired by the work of Nikola Tesla, and is one of the few technical monuments from 1900 that is still fully functional today.
The project is a combination of historical heritage and modern technology, creating an example of how industrial tradition can work in a modern energy system.

Mini hydro-power plant Under the City - Užice
The revitalization includes the complete renovation of the facility, including the careful preservation of the original Siemens generators and machines, the modernization of the electro-mechanical systems, as well as the introduction of solutions for the efficient production of renewable energy. Special attention is paid to the protection of watercourses and biodiversity, minimizing the impact on the environment and preserving the cultural and industrial heritage. The works were carried out in demanding conditions, with constant monitoring of the river level and groundwater control, in order to ensure the long-term safety and stability of the plant.
Modern equipment enables optimized production of electricity, reduces losses and increases the energy capacity of the hydro-power plant, while at the same time respecting the principles of sustainable development and environmental protection. The project has also become an educational reference for students, engineers and the general public, demonstrating how technology, ecology and industrial heritage can be connected in a functional and energy-efficient facility.
